Chris Romero, P.E., has been with Chavez-Grieves since 1997 and Associate Partner  since 2006. He has a BS in Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University, 1995, and a BS in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University, 1997. He has over 15 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry and has a wide variety of project experience as a structural engineer and designer. Mr. Romero is the structural engineer on Chavez-Grieves’ architectural support teams, and is responsible for evaluation and design of comprehensive structural systems for public and government.

As a structural engineer and designer, Chris has worked closely with architects, owners and contractors in the design of commercial office buildings, utilizing the design-build delivery system, as well as the traditional design/bid/build process. In the industrial sector, Chris performed designs and project management for structures at Intel and WIPP in Carlsbad, New Mexico. In the public sector, he has managed and designed several schools, office buildings, detention centers and other public buildings. His experience includes the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Museum, V. School Cleveland High School and the University of New Mexico School of Architecture.
