

Chris Youngblood, P.E.,
is President and Chief Executive Officer of Chavez-Grieves. He directs the
day-to-day operations of the firm and serves as Principal-in-Charge for a
variety of structural design projects.
A native of Truth or Consequences,
New Mexico, Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
in 1993 from New Mexico State University. He is a veteran of the United States
Army, having served in the 1st Infantry Division in Belgium, Holland, Germany
and northern Africa.
Chris currently serves as a member
of the Board of Directors for the American Council for Engineering Companies
(ACEC) of New Mexico, the New Mexico Section of the American Society of Civil
Engineers (ASCE) and the NMSU Academy for Civil, Agricultural and Geological
Engineering. In 2002, he was inducted into the Sociedad de Ingenieros as an
Ingeniero Eminente at New Mexico State University.
Chris' experience includes project
management and structural engineering on various types of design projects
for commercial, institutional, educational, medical, industrial, and governmental
facilities. He has been involved in projects with a wide variety of building
types to include casinos, hospitals, aquariums, amphitheaters, office buildings,
laboratories, central plants, schools and auditoriums. Chris has designed
projects utilizing structural steel, light gage steel, concrete, masonry,
and timber. He also has a wide range of experience in performing preliminary
seismic evaluations, detailed seismic analysis and seismic upgrades to existing
buildings.
