National Museum Of Nuclear History and Science, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Chavez-Grieves has been working with DCSW Architects since May 1997, in providing Sandia National Laboratories conceptual design services for the National Museum of Nuclear History and Science (previously called the National Atomic Museum). Designers worked with museum staff and administrators to develop three alternative schemes for the museum concepts. The museum will be a total of 40,000 s.f., including 20,000 s.f. of exhibit space, and is estimated to cost $5 million. Construction has not begun. The project will be located adjacent to the International Balloon Museum and Park.
